Boat Break-In

From the SPPD: "Between 2:00PM on 9/16 to 10:30AM on 9/17, an unknown suspect entered a docked boat in the 1800 block of Brightwaters Blvd NE. The victim reported various missing items."

We are sorry this happened and want everyone to be aware of the incident so we can all keep an eye out and report any suspicious activity. Motion sensor lighting and security cameras are always considered good deterrents. Stay safe.

A Snell Isle Legacy

Want to leave a legacy in the community you love? Snell Isle homeowners are now able to purchase a commemorative or memorial engraved brick for installation at the fountain area at the main Snell Isle entrance.

This Snell Isle Property Owners Association (SIPOA) brick fundraiser will support many beautification projects including; replacement of the shrubs in the parkway area in front of the Vinoy. A future planned project is the placement of a Snell Isle sign near Overlook Park - crossing the bridge from Shore Acres to Snell Isle.

The laser engraved bricks cost $135 each and last a lifetime. You can commemorate or memorialize a special person, family, pet, occasion, or achievement.

Thought-starters:

Engrave a commemorative brick in your name or the name of a loved one, honor a soldier or veteran, honor a firefighter or police officer, in memory of a special person in your life, honor a teacher or student, recognize your school or church, mark a special date in your life (graduation, birthday, baptism, communion, anniversary, or wedding)

The possibilities are endless!

Upcoming August 2022 Election

You've likely noticed the political yard signs popping up around town. Our neighbor, Bonnie Hargrett, has once again currated some helpful reources for us to review prior to the August election:

As you likely know, our next election is August 23rd. Florida is a Closed Primary State meaning if you are a registered Democrat, you will receive the Democratic ballot. Likewise, if you are a registered Republican, you will receive the Republican ballot. There is also the NonPartisan (neither party) races which will be included on both ballots. If you are not registered to either party, you will still be given the Nonpartisan ballot to vote on Judges, School Board candidates. At-Large State and County Commission races. If you’d like to review the candidates on each of these, click this link below...
